Why can’t I get cover online?

Smart Cover Online has teamed up with Cignpost Life and with their advanced technology is one of the fastest ways to purchase your life insurance policy online. It’s important that you answer these questions truthfully and accurately, to ensure your cover is not affected.

Depending on your personal circumstances, cover requirements and medical history, we may need to speak to you in more detail, or request information from your GP, in which case getting cover may take longer and you won’t be able to purchase online.

Can I still get cover if I was unable to purchase online and what happens now?

If you have been unable to purchase online through Smart Cover Online we need to speak to you to ask you a few additional questions to understand your eligibility.  It’s important that you answer these questions truthfully and accurately, to ensure your cover is not affected. 

One of our advisors will call you on the number that you have provided, alternatively you can call us directly on 0333 011 8300, or you can use our Contact Us page to request a call back at a time that is convenient for you.

Why do I need to speak to somebody if I was unable to purchase online and how long will it take?

It’s important to ensure all the details that are submitted to Cignpost Life for your policy are accurate to ensure your cover is not affected.

We need to speak to you about the details you submitted regarding your personal circumstances, cover requirements or medical history to understand your eligibility.

One of our advisors at Smart Cover Online will call you back within 24 hours on the number that you have provided. Generally the telephone conversation about the details you submitted regarding your personal circumstances, cover requirements or medical history should take no more than 10 minutes. The amount of time the conversation takes is dependent on your personal circumstances, cover requirements and medical history.

It’s important that you answer these questions truthfully and accurately, to ensure your cover is not affected.
